Abstract

This study investigates a national education program – New Education Experiment (NEE). NEE has set up for nineteen years and is developing to three thousand schools with 3 million students across whole Mainland China. NEE has practical spirits, ten great actions, and changes of teacher, student, school and research. Numerous teachers and students welcome and make progresses by NEE. This study explores and assesses NEE comprehensively from seven aspects: happy school, campus bullying, reading confidences, motivations, interests, habits, and class engagement. Finally, as important focuses, happy school and reading attainment are analyzed. New and important findings are summarized to confirm that NEE is an aspiring and hopeful cause and will spread to broader areas.
