Development and Validation of an Integrated STEM Teacher Classroom Observation Protocol

Abstract

This research developed and validated a classroom observation protocol focusing on STEM integration. A draft of the protocol was developed based on prior research. Then, the protocol was reviewed by STEM education experts through panel review. We revised the protocol according to the experts’ feedbacks. Two raters were trained to validate the protocol. The inter-rater reliability of two raters was calculated after they watched class lecture videos using the revised protocol.
