This paper highlights the lived experiences of Latin@ principals which have experienced the phenomenon of opening a new school in predominantly Latin@ neighborhoods. The study applied the tenets of narrative inquiry to unpack the stories and to identify the narrative threads of the collective experience of these principals. In doing so, the study provides insight into the unique challenges these Latin@ principals faced and offers ways that the participants found hope and victories.
