Abstract

In this paper, I present some of my experiences engaging with the Multi-Dimensional Model of Intersectionality as developed by Núñez (2014a). This research employs a complex, intersectional model of conceptualizing and analyzing lived experiences. This application of the Multi-Dimensional Model of Intersectionality is timely, given that intersectionality has pervaded research methodologies and methods across the spectrum of quantitative and qualitative research. In particular, this research informs and expands knowledge about the engagement of intersectionality in research. Through my discussion, I demonstrated that I engaged the Model to ensure I explored issues of power and identity within the data. The analysis processes were effective to reach that goal.
