The overall purpose of this study was to examine graduate students’ perceptions of mixed
methods research. Students were asked to provide their perceptions of the methodology as a
whole, the usefulness of mixed methods in their life and profession, and the advantage of mixed
methods from a consumer of research standpoint. This study will give conference attendees a chance to see what students have to say about mixed methods after taking a course and the benefits of mixed methods for students. The talk will also give conference attendees a chance to reflect on teaching practices and how that may impact students’ views of mixed methods.
