This collective self study research documents the collaborative efforts of faculty and graduate students who co-designed and co-taught a STEM professional learning course. This research study helped them to identify who they are as teachers in the STEM discipline and guided them to study their practice through self-study in an effort to make their teaching and programs more effective for students’ learning. Through collaboration, dialogue and openness to ideas from each other, the self-study researchers were able to frame and reframe the topics covered from different perspectives. This allowed them to think about things differently as well as change how each researcher looked at what was going on in their respective classrooms.
