This qualitative case study examines the triangulation of theory, practice, and instruction in educational leadership curriculum by investigating the interdisciplinary connections between educational leadership, curriculum inquiry, and group dynamics in the redesign of a university-district school leadership preparation partnership program. Researchers sought to learn: To what extent did the redesign of the Master’s curriculum integrate and explicitly connect educational leadership theory, practice, and instruction? Researchers conducted 25 interviews with curriculum designers who represent both the university and partnering school districts. Data were also collected via content analysis of more than 130 newly redesigned curriculum documents. Findings reveal the benefits of quality work groups, the use of applied research in experiential learning, learning centered around students and problems, and outcomes-based designing.
