Tue, April 9, 10:25 to 11:55am, Metro Toronto Convention Centre, Floor: 800 Level, Hall F

Abstract

Technology is changing faster than one can comprehend. Emerging technology and new educational trends challenge educational institutions to predict the changes agilely. They create the need to cope with the longevity of technologies on the one hand, and to leverage the technological change on the other hand by ensuring the new technologies are selected and adopted wisely based on reliable research and pedagogy to deepen the learning outcomes. This presentation reports a critical literature review of 130 research articles, identifies effective organizational strategies to leverage institution-wide LMS transitions. It also presents a framework to help e-learning leaders make sound decisions concerning institution-wide changes in essential technologies and offers suggestions for seamless implementation to achieve organizational goals on a large scale.
