This work centers on school-based professionals' search for evidence to inform decisions intended to impact student outcomes. Data comes from cross-sectional survey analysis of two pilot studies from sixty-four schools. Participants were asked about their search effort, strategies, school culture and personal attitudes and beliefs around research use. Data suggests that school-based professionals rely upon personal networks in their search for evidence above other search strategies. Little significant relationships were found between school culture, attitudes and beliefs, and search effort and strategy.
