Abstract

Current social movements of #MeToo, Black Lives Matter, Idle No More and the election of President Trump all emphasize the need for educators to know how to respond to the cultural change they are a part of. By recognizing emotion cultures as the relationship between the emotions, the self and society, this paper proposes uses emotion as a lens of inquiry to help educators recognize the changing narratives of media and education.
