Native American Studies Leadership Program: A Community-Learning Response

Abstract

The idea of creating the Native American Studies Leadership Program(NASLP)is needed, however there exist other pressing needs of the department and the students currently. There are many other pieces of the puzzle needed before the NASLP can get off its feet and implemented at Native American Studies at UNM. These areas needed to create an ideal scenario for the NASLP to be enacted would include NAS department buy-in, NAS teamwork, community connection and collaboration, funding, and a detailed design.
