Purpose: We report on the findings from a knowledge mobilization podcast project that brings researchers, journalists, and community members together to bring research and other forms of evidence to bear on important societal issues. Methods: This mixed methods study followed a complementary paradigmatic approach, meaning that the findings from two separate studies of the same project were brought together at the stage of inferences. Findings: Three themes emerged from the analyses: (1) blended expertise of multiple research stakeholders is essential for providing a more complete picture of complex societal issues, (2) different KMb products are needed if we are to have greater impact with the public, and (3) the different professional cultures of researchers and media remains an interaction barrier.
