Recapitulation of Response to Intervention in Mental Time Travel

Abstract

The American public education system is in a time loop. Substantively similar debates are rooted in the literature about children that struggle with certain cultural practices. Response to Intervention (RTI) has been a recent incarnation of these questions. First, I explore previous cultural-historical writings and present recapitulation as a non-linear process characterized by mutually existing themes and cultural symbols. I present a model to explain the conception of mutual interactions and build on models by Rogoff (2003), Valsiner (2013), and Sagan and Druyan (1980). This model provides the basis for exploring recapitulated elements of RTI.
