This paper uses Latinx Critical Race Theory and Critical Historical Inquiry to explore how four Latinx pre-service bilingual teachers used historical fiction children’s literature and historical inquiry to develop their understandings of Latinx histories. The study findings contend that experiences become integral to their pedagogical practices.
