Abstract

This paper tells the stories of displacement and reintegration from the perspective of - students, families, teachers of a school that was forced to relocate or close from a space that they had occupied since the school was founded. The narrative is based on existing documents, retrospective and current narrative interviews of those involved in the change process and minutes from meetings, documents, videos or other documentation recorded by individuals, journal entries and remembered conversations. Their stories reveal the interconnections between people and places and describe how experiences are framed by economic, political and cultural factors.The personal stories show us how these constructs shape the experiences of displacement and frame choices and possibilities for action and change by the displaced.
