Democracy and Science Education

Abstract

In this paper I consider the recent claims of Francis Schrag in his 2018 paper ‘Science, Democracy and Education’. I argue that his dismissal of science education as crucial to democracy is unwarranted and put forward a positive account of the sort of role that science education could play.
