The primary objective of this bilingual paper (English/Français) is to explore how holistic practices focused on an attaining balance between the four facets of the self influence our identity as researchers and teacher educators. A secondary objective of this research is to implement an intentional, collaborative, contemplative research collective. We are committed to exploring interconnected themes between our respective campuses and to contribute to building research learning communities in two universities, one in British Columbia, CA and the other in Québec, CA. We each contribute a different contemplative practice (Mindfulness, yoga, reflective and creative journaling, poetry, work identity based on self-awareness and meaning-making process, focusing, psychosynthesis) to the collaborative learning community we are establishing through this research.
