This paper presents the results of a three-year evaluation of two teacher preparation programs and their objective to prepare residents to incorporate technology in their practice. Our work reflects utilization-focused and participatory/collaborative evaluation approaches, which assume that stakeholders have a high degree of involvement in many, if not all, phases of the evaluation. We used a mixed-methods approach that integrates a blend of quantitative and quantitative data collection activities to assess the implementation and impact of technology in the teacher preparation programs. The results show that residents and graduates felt prepared to effectively implement technology in the classroom. Yet the perceptions of the incorporation of technology varied among residents, graduates, and mentors.
