To contribute to our understanding of teacher acceptance toward technology, this study analyzed the stages of concern and levels of use to accept a one-to-one iPad initiative by a first-grade teacher. Framed by the Concerns Based Adoption Model (CBAM), data were collected from monthly video chats, a dialogue journal, and student work artifacts. After employing thematic analysis, the data indicate that a classroom teacher may need between one and two years to achieve innovation configuration. The greatest challenges were observed during the management stage of concern and preparation level of use. Evidence of innovation configuration is provided, with implications for other teachers who are integrating a new technology.
