Abstract

This presentation summarizes the findings taken from a narrative inquiry that examined the stories of 15 prominent professors of educational leadership who, through their scholarship, service and teaching, exhibited a commitment to social justice work. Through a deeper exploration of the scope of their narratives, this presentation outlines the major inquiries that these professors posed in regards to the future of leadership preparation within the United States. The purpose of this paper presentation is to present the contents of the professors’ candid conversations so that the findings might inform the field as it continually (re)forms the trajectory of leadership preparation from within the current political climate, while simultaneously preparing educational leaders committed to acting upon injustices present within schools.
