Fri, April 5, 12:00 to 1:30pm, Fairmont Royal York Hotel, Floor: Convention Floor, Concert Hall

Abstract

This paper chronicles the experience of a university-preschool partnership that successfully implemented a school-wide evidence-based social-emotional curriculum in two Head Start organizations, demonstrating statistically significance relationships between fidelity levels of teacher implementation and validated measures of student social-emotional outcomes. The strategies used to ensure sustainability through a collaborative evaluation approach are illustrated. Using mixed-method data, this paper discusses the impacts of implementation on student, teacher, and organizational outcomes.
