In the era of “post”-truths, including the move towards feminist new materialism and post-qualitative research, this conceptual paper seeks to complicate the current and most prevalent conversations around post-qualitative research. I situate an inherently privileged whiteness, whiteness as ontological, as a starting point to complicate the “ontological turn” in empiricism in recognition of whose ontologies are included or left out, but aim to further ontological conceptualizations that suggest race may not be an argument of ontology at all
