Abstract

As study abroad and international field experience programs grow in popularity, so does the need for valid and reliable instruments for testing their effectiveness. Currently, there are numerous instruments available for measuring constructs related to work and study experiences abroad that may or may not accurately capture the qualities unique to the context of developing culturally sensitive educators. This project focuses on a systematic review of existing measures found in research literature on study abroad and international field experience programs. Preliminary findings yielded 949 articles that are currently undergoing analysis using the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis guidelines (PRISMA). Reliability generalization will be used to analyze reliability statistics reported and synthesize reliability scores reported.
