This study investigated how to improve children’s spatial skills through block building. 40 children whose block building levels are 1~6.5 from on kindergarten were selected, and divided randomly assigned to intervention condition and control condition. Results showed: both groups’ performance of block building and spatial skill had been improved. For the story-telling group, relationship between both abilities’ improvement are more significant that traditional imitation group. Finding suggest:(1) It’s a good way to improve children’s spatial skills through block building. (2) Story-telling provides a more efficient way to improve children’s spatial skills.
