Despite an increased in scholarly attention, much of the extant literature on masculinities among Black college men is primarily qualitative. What is missing from the academic study of Black college men is more attention devoted to the empirical relationship between masculinities and other student success variables. Drawing on structural equation modeling, this study examines the relationship between masculinities and mindset among a sample of 145 Black male undergraduate students across nine different higher education institutions. This study holds significance for future theory, research, and practice.
