From Way Black to the Afro-Surreal Futuristic Now: Reclaiming Narratives and Identity Using Afro-Heroine Warriors

Abstract

The divide between Black’s and White’s respect for their full humanity sustains continuous attacks. Whites, exclusively, are positioned with the full benefits of their humanity. This Black and White division is continual out-births of the normalized Whiteness narratives and pasts never reconciled. Concomitantly, the past is present, and the actions needed to move into a future, filled with non-competing respect and opportunities across the spectrums of race remains unrealized. Different actions that manifest futures defined outside the confines of time, and present actions that separate us from repeating the racialized and capitalistic driven past are in war with each other. Afro-Surrealism and Afro-Futurism paired with strategic Afro-Heroine Warriors potentially provide the actionable steps needed to finally move beyond this war
