Little is known about what makes for effective collaboration in the field of ECE, even though it is widely recognized that partnerships, in general depend upon collaboration among multiple stakeholders. The present study reports initial findings from a three year evaluation of the implementation of an Early Head Start Child Care Partnership (EHS-CCP) grant in the City of Chicago. This mixed methods evaluation study focuses on the implementation of the grant and the grantee’s ongoing work supporting the partnerships in meeting Head Start Performance Standards. Initial lessons learned about partnership formation and enrollment outcomes are discussed.
