Assessing the Measurement Properties of School Leadership Dimension of Revised School Culture Element Questionnaire: A Rasch Modeling Approach

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to assess the psychometric properties of school leadership dimension of the Revised School Culture Elements Questionnaire (RSCEQ), a measure developed to measure multiple dimensions of school culture. The RSCEQ was administered to 4200 teachers and administrators over a two-week period in the spring semester. All data was collected voluntarily and the anonymity of respondents was maintained. Complete and useable RSCEQ surveys were received from 2262 elementary school teachers and administrators. The sample comprised 72% female and 24.4% males. Participants were randomly assigned to a calibration or a validation sub-sample.
