Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to examine the development of perspectives and beliefs demonstrated by educators during a course focused on curriculum and instructional leadership with a social justice focus and how well they last or do not when these students transition into their school leadership field work. The class focused on social justice and democratic education as well as definitions of rigor in instruction, good teaching, and the role of the school leader in getting, growing and keeping good teachers.
