Abstract

This paper provides a vision and goals for the project of East-West educational studies. The fusion of horizons identified as the goal can be achieved initially within small collaborative research groups, especially under the auspices of philanthropic foundations and specialized academic centers. The spirit of cross-cultural dialogue then spread gradually through peer-reviewed publications and conferences.
