This panel of speakers will discuss (1) how three countries--Australia, Israel, and the U.S--(mis)understand what supports K-12 students feeling and being safe; (2) how these understandings have shaped goals, policies, and practices designed to support students feeling and being safe; (3) national improvement strategies designed to actualize these goals; and, (4) measurement practices and tools used to support learning and continuous school improvement in these areas.
