Abstract

The purpose of this session is to examine the design of learning environments aimed at developing problem-solving capabilities for work in different contexts, all of which prepare learners for fields known for creativity, inventiveness and innovation. The session is also intended to explore ways of studying learning opportunities within each context. In bringing together international scholars representing four different continents (North and South America, Europe, and Asia), we seek to engage in a dialogue that makes visible similarities and differences in the ways of thinking about the development of learning environments that foster inventive and innovative learning and problem solving.
