Session Type: Symposium
The main objective of family-school partnerships (FSP) is to promote students’ learning and their development in school. Besides this fact, other stakeholders, which were involved in this process, may also benefit from FSP. Therefore, this symposium will provide a detailed insight into the mechanism of FSP by focusing on two research questions: (a) Which factors influence FSP and (b) what are benefits of FSP for the students, parents and teachers? Together, four papers will be presented in this symposium. Each paper explores a unique, but relevant aspect of FSP, focused on one stakeholder, with different research approaches. Taken together, we will discuss about relevant conditions of FSP, possible benefits for students, parents and teachers and deducible practical implications.
