Session Type: Working Group Roundtable
Positive psychology theories have been widely applied in international education settings in the last two decades. While many commonly used well-being measures such as the Positive and Negative Affect Schedule, the Satisfaction with Life Scale, and the more recently developed PERMA-Profiler have established reliability and validity to be used with English-speaking participants, the application of these measures with speakers from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds still needs to be explored. In this working group roundtable discussion, researchers from China, Mexico, and the United States share their application of these measures in international educational contexts. Challenges and strategies are discussed and recommendations are explored with other researchers working on positive education in international settings.
