Mon, April 8, 2:15 to 3:45pm, Metro Toronto Convention Centre, Floor: 700 Level, Room 713A

Session Type: Symposium

Abstract

This symposium explores different forms of collaborative work organization among educators. Drawing on studies in the US, Canada, and beyond, it examines different deliberate collaborative designs and their implementation within different systems and cultures. The session gathers leading figures in the field of educator collaboration along with a highly experienced discussant to debate the best ways to conceptualize the ways in which educator collaboration has progressed over time. These conceptualizations include discussions of professional collaboration or collaborative professionalism in contexts of complex educational goals, and aspirations for deeper learning, as well as equity in achieving it.
