Session Summary

64.089-10 - Writing Co-Production: Thinking, Feeling, and Knowing Together

Mon, April 8, 12:20 to 1:50pm, Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel, Floor: Lower Concourse, Grand Centre

Session Type: Roundtable Session

Abstract

This session will address methodological and theoretical issues of co-production with a focus on writing, thinking, feeling and knowing together. We will be drawing on recent co-produced projects to explore together what it means to co-author with community partners. What kinds of knowledge are produced differently? How can we articulate change together in a post-truth world? What kinds of outputs are fit for purpose? Thinking with, not on communities in educational research requires a different kind of practice, one that is engaged and partisan, focused on social justice.
