Session Type: Symposium
This symposium will present a series of program evaluation studies focused on the efficacy of social-emotional prevention programs implemented in K-12 and college settings. The first presentation will describe the evaluation of a sports-based bullying prevention implemented with fifth graders. The second talk will present an evaluation of a peer-to-peer training program designed to reduce bias-based harassment in schools. The third presentation will describe an evaluation of an interactive online training program for preservice teachers focused on K-12 student mental health. The final talk will present an evaluation of a sexual assault prevention program for student-athletes that is implemented on college campuses. Co-chairs will conclude the session by highlighting prevention practices associated with optimal outcomes among youth and college students.
