Session Type: Working Group Roundtable
This working group roundtable explores factors related to the career-readiness of our next generation. Four of the five presentations discuss career and technical education (CTE) at various points along the workforce pipeline - among middle school, high school, and postsecondary students, while the fifth discusses trends in federal funding for CTE. The session will therefore explore strategies and models for CTE and CTE support at all levels, situated in the broader context of U.S. education policy and funding. Presentations and collaborative discussion will address implications for future CTE research and provide recommendations to CTE scholars, K-20 educators, and practitioners.
