Abstract

The purpose of our session is to review and present research on Ethnic Studies pedagogies, specifically examining the development, implementation, and impact of local Ethnic Studies programs on teacher and curriculum development. Through our panel presentation and discussion, we demonstrate how Ethnic Studies has impacted how teachers understand themselves, build relationships with students, and develop curriculum that is responsive to student and community needs.
