Session Type: Invited Speaker Session
The Division D Equity and Inclusion Committee organizes a panel of speakers each year; the invited speakers discuss equity, inclusion, and social justice in relation to educational measurement and research methodologies.
This panel session will engage in dialogue with those who take up a variety of innovative methodologies. As the AERA 2019 theme emphasizes, our panelists’ narratives explore the roles and possibilities of research methodologies in both speaking back to a “post-truth” era and advancing social justice concerns in their day-to-day research; in so doing, they are at the frontlines of “leveraging education research” to “democratize evidence” and research in classrooms and communities across North America, and even the world.
