Abstract

In the context of Students for Fair Admissions v. Harvard, (trial date October 15) we ponder the complexities and formation of Asian identities within educational institutions. While historically, Division B’s community has not been as attentive as it needs to be the Asian Diaspora. This session is an act toward the rectification and reconciliation, in which the panel of emerging, mid-career, and senior curriculum scholars reckon with historical absences of the Pan-Asian experience in curriculum, curriculum history, and curriculum studies. This session challenges the historical absences and ignor(ance)e(s) in the ongoing complicated conversation and serves as a disciplin(e)ing of Division B and curriculum studies.
