A common critique of research in teacher education and professional development is that the work is atheoretical. This means that our community may be producing idiosyncratic programs, practices, and approaches without building and refining a deeper and broader understanding of teacher learning and the contexts that support teachers’ learning. Participants in this seminar will learn to develop robust theoretical frameworks for research and practice supporting teacher learning in teacher education settings throughout the teacher preparation and career continuum.
