Abstract

Tune in! The Division C Equity and Inclusion and Graduate Student committees joined forces to host Division C’s first ever “Shark Tank: Graduate Students Pitch Equity and Inclusion Focused Research Designs (For Money!).” During this session, graduate student finalists will present a 5-minute “pitch” of their equity and inclusion focused research proposals to a panel of Sharks. Following each presentation, the Sharks will ask questions and offer feedback. Presenters will need to bring their A game or hear, “I’m Out!” Sharks, along with a live vote from audience members will determine which proposal will be funded. The winner(s) will have a year to complete their study and present their findings at the 2020 annual meeting.
