Abstract
The symposium offers an international and multiple methodological perspective on why school climate matters for student and teacher engagement. It includes one cross-national study of the association of school climate and teacher job satisfaction and three place-based studies executed in Bogota, Colombia, Northern Ireland, and Seoul, South Korea.
