This roundtable explores various aspects of teachers work in Canadian schools. Two presentations explore alternative schools, one focuses on how teachers and students work to create conditions for equity while the other examines how teachers and students negotiate curriculum issues in an alternative school context. Additional themes explored in this session are the work of teacher-librarians and teachers of adult English Language Learners and the push for a teacher-led curriculum. From Toronto to British Columbia, the focus of this session will be the perspectives of Canadian educators.
