66.017 - Links and Shoulders Student Mentoring Hour

Abstract

Looking for mentorship but unsure where to start? Hoping to meet people who are willing to answer questions you might have about your personal career, research, or graduate school? Links & Shoulders is a student mentoring event with leaders within AERA, academia, and industry leaders who are open to offering mentorship to students who attend. Students will have the opportunity to sit at tables with themes (interviewing tips, applying to post-docs, grant writing) that interest them and ask questions to mentors in a speed mentoring format. Students are open to switch tables or move to other topics throughout the session time. This session is perfect for participants hoping to create more meaningful mentoring relationships around their direct interests.
