Abstract

The graduate student experience can be a time of great stress and uncertainty for students trying to navigate the many unknown and known expectations of a graduate program. The quality of the mentoring relationships you develop in graduate school can sometimes make or break you. Yet, how can we find supportive and successful mentorship relationships? Finding great mentorship starts with asking important questions. This panel will address the importance of mentorship within graduate school. The panel will provide key questions to ask potential mentors and how to find mentorship that works best for you. The panel will talk about their own approaches to mentorship in teaching, research, and professional spaces as well as answer questions important to you.
