How does successful pedagogy impact change within the mind and brain of a learner? How might such insights help frame future questions for research on pedagogy? Interdisciplinary studies within the Science of Learning have been forging strong connections across these very different levels of investigation of education and the neural basis of learning. Such ‘cross-over’ studies inform both education and our understanding of the role of pedagogy in shaping changes within brain structures and functions. Leaders from several cross-disciplinary societies across the US and EU provide a state of the art review of the field. Talks include insights into growth mindset, math and number cognition, literacy, adolescence, and the influence of teacher dynamics on brain plasticity.
