Session Type: Invited Speaker Session
Division G was formed in 1969. The 2019 conference provides opportunity to reflect on the unique role of Division G and changing social contexts of education. The panel brings together Division G Vice Presidents, from 1983 to 2019, offering a rare opportunity to hear cross-decade insights, link historical memory to present day issues and reinvigorate education futures. Invited VP’s will specifically address: What does social context of education mean? How has social context shifted over the decades? What key challenges were present when you were VP? What does social context of education mean now? What roles do you think Division G can or should have in education research? How can Division G “leverage educational research?”
