The Primordial Paradigm: Riffs on a Queer Methodology of Risk

Abstract

I articulate a Queer Methodology of Risk, based on my work with queer students engaging in “risky” behavior on a rural campus in the American South. I attempt to reimagine how researchers study queer students within campus contexts and how we interpret and represent risky behavior as we compose portraits of the traditionally “at risk.”
